HealthWise Family Medicine is a full-spectrum family medical practice. We see patients from newborns to seniors and everyone in between including adolescents. Dr. Hays is a big believer in Preventive Health, and stresses national guidelines for cancer screening and health maintenance.

Dr. Hays is Board Certified in the specialty of Family Medicine, but he also knows and uses physicians in every other major specialty when needed for consultation or referral. Fortunately, we are able to manage the vast majority of medical issues your family needs.

For example, at HealthWise Family Medicine we…

• Perform newborn and routine Well Child exams including immunizations, in addition to caring for sick children as well.
• Administer School and Sports Physicals.
• Treat ADD and Acne in children and teens.
• Perform Adult physicals including adult immunizations.
• Manage all adult illnesses including High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, High Cholesterol, Thyroid Disease, Depression, Anxiety, Obesity, Asthma, Emphysema, and musculoskeletal issues along with offering appointments for acute illnesses also.
• Manage adult Dermatology issues including eczema, psoriasis, adult Acne, skin cancer screening, skin biopsies, mole and cyst removal, common and venereal warts, laceration repair, rashes, animal bites, etc.
• Perform Well Woman exams/services including Pap smears, breast exams, family planning, etc., in addition to arranging recommended screenings such as Mammogram, Bone Density/Osteoporosis screening, etc.
• Perform Cardiopulmonary services on site including EKG and Lung Function Testing.
• Perform Allergy skin testing and allergy injections.

HealthWise Family Medicine and Dr. Hays believe that a complete and accurate medical record is a cornerstone of quality healthcare. Our office uses a State-Of-The-Art Electronic Medical Record! Records from your previous physician or current consultants are digitally incorporated into your HealthWise records. All prescribing is done electronically so that there can be no error at the pharmacy due to inability to read a physician’s handwriting. If you supply the fax number for your pharmacy, Dr. Hays can even send your prescriptions digitally straight from your exam room to your pharmacist to minimize your wait time at the pharmacy!
